World Care History

WorldCare funds have been a part of Prestoncrest since the first 5th Sunday of 1990. The funds, at that time, were given to 56 works of Eastern Europe. The wall had come down and our brotherhood worked together to get funds to mission works that could move quickly to get the Good News of Jesus to the souls of Eastern Europe. Prestoncrest then decided to permanently adopt the idea of giving funds throughout the year for every month that had 5 Sundays. It is these “5th Sundays” that are now known as “WorldCare” Sundays, and the contributions taken help reach out to meet the needs of mission families
that are not covered under Prestoncrest’s budgeted efforts. These monies go to works outside those mentioned on this website.
