Williams FamilyGary is the director of the Avanti, Italia program. Avanti Italia (“Forward Italy”) is a two year mission experience for college graduates, regardless of their major or degree. The job of Gary and his wife, Jennifer, is to help structure and coordinate the workers in Florence and throughout Italy. The base of operations for Avanti Italia is the Florence Bible School building near Florence, where the workers live and teach Bible and English using the Bible, in both individual and group classes.

Gary and Jennifer’s passion for this work is in helping young people grow and find ways to help the struggling Church in Italy. Through classes, friendships and service activities, they guide them in ministry and modeling Christianity for Italian Christians.

Gary attended Oklahoma Christian College, Harding Graduate School of Religion, and Abilene Christian University Summer Missions Seminar. He served as a minister for eleven years in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Fort Worth, Texas. He also served as a chaplain in the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice Center in Fort Worth.

Gary and Jennifer have two sons. Brock, a graduate of Harding University and Erik who graduated from Texas Tech.
