MRN: Europe Brief - March, 2008


In 2002, Phil returned from the mission field and began to work with Mission Resource Network. MRN, with headquarters in Bedford, Texas. It is a ministry of Churches of Christ focused on planting churches worldwide. MRN provides resources to missionaries as well as to the congregations that send the mission families. Phil’s work focuses primarily on identifying, recruiting and equipping long-term teams for Europe. He has facilitated the training of a team that is serving in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

He is currently working with the teams preparing to work in Vienna, Austria and Moscow, Russia. Phil received his B.S. in Business from Harding University and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas. His wife, Rebecca earned a B.A. in International Studies from Harding University and an M.A. in History from the University of Central Arkansas. Phil and Rebecca met in Bucharest, Romania on the first campaign of churches of Christ to Romania in January of 1991. They married in 1992 and returned to Bucharest in 1993. For the next three years, they worked with the Church in Bucharest. They moved to Cluj, Romania for the purpose of planting the Church in that city, working there until 2002. Phil was active in preaching, personal Bible studies, and training Church leaders. Working with Rebecca, Phil started the Christian Youth Camp and National Church Conference. They ministered in the local orphanages and hospitals. During the years in Cluj, their family grew with the additions of Alexandra and Samuel. The Jacksons now make their home in Grapevine, Texas.
