Augustine Calderon

Augustine Calderon and his wife Teresa, became Christians 16 years ago, baptized by Joe Almanza at Prestoncrest Church of Christ. Augustine then attended the Pan American Bible Institute in Dallas. He was raised in Arcelia, Mexico and returned to Arcelia prepared to plant a new Church and serve as the minister. He has served in that capacity since 1998. During that time, the Church has grown to 130 in attendance. A dedication was recently held for a new building which will seat about 500. Upon completion, it will be debt free. In December of 2006, the Church hosted a gospel meeting and medical mission: Impact Arcelia for Christ. Augustine plans to establish sister congregations in neighboring cities.
