Bill & Maria-Clair McDonoughBill is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University, University of Maryland and Goethe Institute in Germany. He served in the USAF from 1959-1963 with assignments in Japan and Germany. He married Barbara and together they served as missionaries to Europe for 20 years. They planted churches in Bremen, Wiesbaden, and Mannheim Germany as well as Salzburg, Austria.Following the death of Barbara, Bill married Marie-Clair LeStunff from France while working in Romania in 1997. In 1980, Bill and Dr. A.J. Thompson founded Partners in Progress to focus on Church planting and humanitarian aid. Bill helped lead the Polish Food Relief Project, 1981-1984, and after the Iron Curtain fell, PIP teams brought humanitarian relief and church planting to Romania, Albania, Georgia, CIS, and Kosovo.

The organization has been active in 58 nations, and has been instrumental in helping persecuted Christians in Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar. PIP organizes short term medical missions around the world, conducts medical campaigns on five continents, and has a free clinic in downtown North Little Rock, Arkansas. PIP is now ready to launch the “Ship of Life” on the Mekong River to provide health care to those in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and China. They are also instrumental in digging fresh water wells.
